①Before joining us

－What brought you to the free consultation?

　I started looking for a cram school in June last year. Rather than attending classes, I wanted personalized guidance on how to study for entrance exams. While searching online, I came across Genronkai and decided to apply for the free consultation.

－Why did you choose Genronkai?

　The primary reason I decided to join was that I felt I could study at my own pace without being constrained by a fixed curriculum or group lessons. This flexibility allowed me to focus on my weaknesses and tailor my study schedule according to my needs. Additionally, the opportunity to receive face-to-face advice from my coach was particularly valuable. Having direct, personalised guidance helped me clarify my doubts immediately, refine my study strategies, and stay motivated throughout the process.

②After joining us

－Impressions and changes in study after joining

Before entering Genronkai, I couldn’t concentrate on studying at all—I wasn’t able to manage myself. But after I joined, I began to study well because I could clearly see my weekly goals, and I started to feel responsible for completing my tasks. I also came to understand why I was studying each subject, which motivated me to try harder.

-Times of hardship and poor performance and how to overcome them.

I used to struggle with World History. I thought there were just too many terms to memorize. But then I was taught that understanding the story behind the history is what really matters. So I read the thick book written by Mr. Mogi over and over again. By doing that, I was finally able to remember the terms more easily.

-What did you like about the coaches?

The coaches taught me many things—for example, how to memorize English vocabulary and how to organize World History. Being able to actually output what I had learned and explain things out loud was really effective for my learning.

Also, I really enjoyed talking with the coaches as well. We often chatted about school life and hobbies, and that time was also very meaningful to me.
